The two magazines are covering national and international news separately, but Lawrence combines them into news reports of U.S. in World and 1948 [1] and Later sold the magazine to its employees. Historically, this magazine tends to be a bit more conservative than the two main competitors, Time and Newsweek, and focus more on the story of economic, health, and education. She's been pretty vague about what she actually wants, but from what I gather it's a business computer and she wants it tuned up in a 90 minute timeframe. At work we use a proprietary repair suite that takes around eight hours to run, so that wouldn't help me here even though I have a personal copy.
I'm probably going to run HitmanPro or Malwarebytes depending on the consensus I get from this sub, disable unnecessary startup items, check the programs for Slimware type entries, make sure we're at Windows 1709, check drivers, see if she'd benefit from a better router or a solid state drive, but all that seems too basic to be a paid service.
What are some things you'd recommend I do? Everything I mentioned can be run and finished in 40 minutes with the exception of the 1709 update, which may not be a good choice for today anyway because it can take a while when you don't have a good connection and I think she has some clients coming in shortly after I leave.
Any software programs you'd recommend?
Edit: What would you recommend I charge? At work I'd charge around $200 for this kind of thing but that seems pretty excessive. I was thinking maybe $40 depending on if anything actually runs better when I'm done?
