I am having an issue with my HP notebook. Using chrome as a browser. I just started experiencing an issue where when clicking on a video to watch, the video loads and plays perfectly....until I change it to full screen. Then the video completely freezes. The browser does not freeze and I am free to back out or close or refresh and as soon as I minimize, the video immediately plays perfectly.
I read that some people have luck when turning off hardware accelerator and so I tried it. And bam the problem is solved. But I'm wondering why did this fix my issue and what am I losing by having hardware accelerator off?
