I’d like to get some explanation about differences between M.2 drives. At a webshop I see different specifications of drives. I already got information about M, B and B + M keys.
I also see two different “chip types”; MLC and TLC. What does it mean and what’s the difference? There are two “interne interfaces” either; PCIe and SATA. I know both of them are connectors, but what do they have to do with M.2?
In the specifications of my motherboard I see “1 x M.2 Socket 3 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA & PCIe x4/x2/x1 SSD support)”. What does “socket 3” mean?
