At the login screen I never set an account picture though I do have a nice background pic but I still see that ugly a** generic pic that I want to remove.

...from 2015 it appears to give instructions but I wanted to make sure before following them that this article is not out of date and will not adversely effect my 2017/18 Win 10 pro ver. 1703.

I can see this and all of the generic pics there as well as some .dat files the importance of which I am not sure. Can I truly delete everything in that folder without any consequences? The article goes on to say:

Well, since I never had an acct pic I do not see that folder so I can not clean it up.
Sooo...can I just delete all the pics and dat files in that folder above and will the next time I boot up will I see a clean background screen like the one in the article:
