- Intel Core i7-4790 (not OC obviously) with the Alpenföhn Brocken 2 Cooler
- Gigabyte H97-HD3, Intel H97 Mainboard
- Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro Tri-X OC, 8192 MB GDDR5 (tried some light OC but as the card isn't made for it I didn't really bother)
- G.Skill DIMM 16 GB DDR3-1600 Kit
- Cooler Master G750M 750W ATX Power Supply
So while I was watching some random YouTube Vid my PC crashed and restarted. Not a Bluescreen Crash or anything, just like as if the PC didn't have Power for a Millisecond, and then it normally booted again. From then on my GPU isn't working anymore. Fans aren't spinning, Windows Device Manager isn't recognizing it, etc. BUT the BIOS button for the two different BIOS options is working. When I press it in, it's lightning up in light blue. So as everything else is working fine either the GPU is dead or the Power Cables from the PSU are broken.
Now, if the PSU was broken I highly suspect that no component would get any power, so normally I would say it's safe to say the PSU is fine. But then again, the GPU's BIOS button is making me think if maybe the GPU isn't dead after all. Problem is I have no other PSU or anyone I know who has one nearby to test out if it's the PSU. What's your opinion on this?
And if it's safe to say the GPU is broken, I'll "Pat-a-cake" it. With the current prices on the GPU market, it's worth a try. Any tips&tricks on this one?
