BANDUNG, (PR).- PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) kembali melakukan uji terbang Pesawat N219 di landasan pacu Bandara Husein Sastanegara, Kota Bandung, Jumat 2 Februari 2018. Hingga saat ini, pesawat karya anak bangsa itu baru menempuh waktu terbang 17 jam.

"Hari ini kami kembali uji terbang N219 yang ke-15 untuk mendapatkan sertifikasi uji laik terbang. Sertifikasi ini proses panjang, butuh waktu 300 jam untuk mendapatkan sertifikat ini," kata Tenaga Ahli PT DI Andi Alisjahbana di Gedung Pusat Manajemen PT DI Jalan Padjadjaran, Kota Bandung.

Jumat sekitar pukul 9.00 WIB, Pesawat N219 dengan pilot Esther Gayatri Saleh melakukan lepas landas di landas pacu Bandara Husein Sastranegara dan kembali mendarat dengan mulus sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB.

Ia mengatakan, salah satu hal yang terpenting dari pesawat sebelum dinyatakan laik digunakan untuk umum adalah telah mendapatkan sertifikat dari Direktorat Kelaikan Udara dan Pengoperasian Pesawat Udara Kementerian Perhubungan.

"Ini dalam rangka sertifikasi. Intinya, kalau pesawat itu akan digunakan masyarakat, harus dijamin aspek keamanan atau keselamatannya," kata dia seperti dilaporkan Antara.

Pada uji terbang kali ini, PR DI fokus kepada kemampuan Pesawat N219 pada flip condition sekitar 10 derajat.

"Yang hari ini dilakukan untuk melihat respons elevator, yaitu di bagian belakang pesawat ada semacam buntut, dan buntutnya itu vertikal serta horizontal," kata dia.

"Jadi, kami tes, ada bulu-bulunya di bagian buntut pesawat dan itu untuk melihat aliran udaranya sesuai rencana atau tidak, kalau tidak sesuai, nanti kami perbaiki," kata dia.

Uji terbang Pesawat N219 selama 300 jam bisa selesai dilaksanakan tahun 2018.
