The Ngarum people of Ndu sub Division in Donga Mantung Division have a new fon. As it is customary in the (Wi)Mbum HRH Fon Nganji IV was enthroned after the entire (Wi)Mbum people on February 16, joined the people of Ngarum in proclaiming the disappearance (bfu bfu) of HRH Fon Nganji III.
There as euphoria at the Ngarum palace court yard as thousands gathered to celebrate the life of the departed hero, HRH Fon Nganji III and to welcome the newly enthroned fon. For three weeks, the entire village will be transformed into a cultural fiesta, masquerades display, singing and dancing will take central stage.
Friend villages and ancestral lineages will be trooping into the village to celebrate the life of a people leader who has left his footprint in the sand of time as a developer and result-oriented peace crusader. Before his disappearance, HRH Fon Nganji III was a very influential member of the North West Fons Union where he held several positions since insertion. He was one of the frontliners who fought for leadership of the North West Fons Union to come to Donga Mantung Division. But unfortunately, he did not live to see it happened.
