I'm trying to figure out what the hell is up with my Internet connection on my desktop PC.
I'm running a Zoostorm Tempest Gaming PC, running Windows 10, with a 802.11n LAN Card.
I'm with Sky Broadband, and according to them, my home connection is fine at 19mbps, and it is... for most devices. However, the PC doesn't manage as well.
Here are some figures from devices I tested:
Zoostorm PC: Google Speedtest: 0.43 down/0.60 up [Latency: 65ms] Speedtest by Ookla: 0.16 down/0.54 up [Latency: 29ms]
HP Laptop (When placed next to Zoostorm PC) Google Speedtest: 8.53 down/0.75 up [Latency: 37ms] Speedtest by Ookla: 7.11 down/0.64 up [Latency: 31ms]
HP Laptop (When placed next to router) Google Speedtest: 7.23 down/0.84 up [Latency: 43ms] Speedtest by Ookla: 9.83 down/0.78 up [Latency: 34ms]
iPhone 6 (When next to Zoostorm PC): Speedtest by Ookla (App): 8.87 down/0.89 up [Latency: 32ms]
To note: This is how the speeds have been for half a month now. Every other device in the house manages fast speeds, except for this one PC.
Things I have done: - Moved router (twice) - Rebooted router - Checked task manager on Zoostorm PC to ensure nothing else is using up the bandwidth (There isn't)
I am occasionally able to acheive high speeds on the gaming PC, very briefly and randomly. However, these are always temporary.
