I work for a company that uses Sketchup, AutoCad, BlueBeam and eTakeOff to design things and perform bids. We got some new computers at work on black Friday and they seem to have all the specifications that we'd need to do what we do, but they're way slower than we need them to be. Some of the things that are way too slow: Launching applications takes forever, when you zoom in on a blueprint in BlueBeam it takes forever to render, it has trouble when you have multiple Sketchup windows open.
