The two magazines are covering national and international news separately, but Lawrence combines them into news reports of U.S. in World and 1948 [1] and Later sold the magazine to its employees. Historically, this magazine tends to be a bit more conservative than the two main competitors, Time and Newsweek, and focus more on the story of economic, health, and education. It's also distancing news, entertainment and sports celebrities. [2] an important milestone in the history of the beginning of the magazine is including the introduction of the "Washington Whispers" column in 1934 and the column "News You Can Use" in 1952. OS is Windows 7
TLDR: PC got messed up after disk cleanup, resetting to restore point didn't help, now PC always boots into recovery mode.
I'm having a little bit of a problem... I noticed my C drive was getting full (only 3gb free), so I deleted some folders for things I don't use anymore, and then ran the disk cleanup tool that's native to windows. In total I gained about 30gb free space, so I was happy. But then I wanted to launch nba 2k, and I got an error saying a certain file couldn't be found. Then I tried launching another program, and a similar warning came up. I then tried opening a command prompt to run sfc /scannow, but cmd.exe was mysteriously missing. Turns out a lot of shit from /system32 has been removed. I booted into recovery mode to reset my PC to a restore point, and luckily there were two, although both from yesterday. However, when I selected that and Windows did it's thing, it came up it couldn't be completed because some file had gone missing. Ok, no problem, I'll try the other one. But nope, both restore points were now gone.
I then rebooted my PC to see if I could fix the problem in another way, but it booted into recovery mode again. Rebooted again, same thing. I then opened the BIOS to check if the boot order was correct, and I noticed only my 1TB HDD was listed, and my 3TB HDD and SSD weren't (note: if I press F11 during boot to list all drives, the two HDDs and my SSD are listed. No matter what I select, it'll always boot straight into recovery mode). I booted into recovery mode again and noticed that somehow my C drive had become my G drive, and the C drive is now some system reserved partition. Other drives have been messed up as well.
So basically I've now got a PC that, no matter what I try, only boots into safe mode.
Now I've got a couple of questions
- How do I set my drives to be the right drive letter again? SSD was C (now G), 1TB HDD was D (now E) and 1TB was I (now D).
- How do I fix the MBR? Bcdedit does nothing (it tells me no Windows installation could be found), and how can I make the HDD and SSD show up in Windows again?
- Probably most importantly, how do I undo the mess of deleted files that makes Windows pretty much unusable?
