My little stepbrother his pc suddenly stopped outputting anything to his monitor. So i've tried multiple things already.
- Changing GPU ( tried 3 different once)
- Changing RAM
- Changing screens
- Changing the output cable (DVI, HDMI, AVG)
- Checked MB for any blown capacitors or other broken parts
None of these helped. The main problem is that I can't check if the pc even booted correctly. I assume it does because I need to hold the power button to shut down the pc, instead of it instantly turning of when i press it. Since I don't get to see anything on the screens I find it hard to check for the problem. I'm guessing a broken PCI port or a bend pin on the CPU. The fans on the GPU do work. I've tried GPU's that didn't need any extra power to it. Those didn't work either but the fans still ran. Any of you have a tip or idea what it could be ?
He is running a AMD Radeon 7950 HD as his GPU and a AMD quad core CPU without integrated GPU so that isn't a option either.
