For the past couple days our internet has been horribly, horribly slow. Like 500-2000 ms ping, 0.28 Mbps download, 0.02 Mbps upload (we should be getting at least 5 Mbps down). We live in Idaho and kinda in the middle of nowhere so we can only use wireless internet. We thought it was a line of sight issue, as we are connected to the internet via a radio dish from our house to a tower on the mountain. There was a tree that was slightly in the way but previous technicians never thought it was necessary to get rid of that tree, but we did to see if it would make a difference. Of course, it didn’t make a difference.
Maybe it could do with the snow reflecting light or something weird which messes with the line of sight but I don’t really think that would make sense, although that’s what our ISP told us. The odd thing though is that the internet was pretty fine yesterday afternoon for 2-3 hours during the day when the sun was out, but it has been horrid ever since (and before that 2-3 hour period). Any help regarding the situation would be appreciated!
