Hey folks,

Recently, my HDD has crashed and I'm not 100% certain why. However, I've recently purchased a new one, and in the interim have put Ubuntu on it so that I'd be able to use it until I got a media creation disk.

Fast forward to now, I've got a flashdrive with the windows 10 iso on it, and I'm running into issues. The installation process goes as follows:

Start computer. Enter BIOS. Click flashdrive. Install windows (Custom, since there is no previous version to upgrade from). Pick all the unallocated space as the partition to use. (there are no other partitions that are allocated). Windows does its thing and says it will restart to finish installing. Computer restarts, and I get a light blue windows logo, and a spinning circle of dots. Percentage comes up and goes from 0 to 100. Then screen goes black. and stays black. forever.

Except this one time where I left it overnight and then I got a blue screen with a "something went wrong, we're collecting data on the issue then the computer will turn off" message. It was still at 0% when I came back to it several hours after this. It had a "Stop watchdog timeout" error code there.

Microsoft doesn't really help me either.

So if anyone of you have any help I would greatly appreciate it. I've been on the phone with microsoft tech support and they aren't helping.

Thanks in advance.
