The former congressman tied himself into a racist pretzel trying to defend the president.
Former Georgia GOP congressman Jack Kingston, a supporter of President Donald Trump, struggled to defend the president's racist diatribe that found him calling African nations "sh*thole countries."
“As you probably know, I traveled many times with the Congressional Black Caucus to Africa,” Kingston said. “I was very involved with it, as was Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK)."
His defense went downhill fast.
“They’re extremely fine people,” Kingston continued condescendingly, after informing the television audience that he sponsored "three children since they've been in an orphanage."
Symone Sanders, former press secretary to Sen. Bernie Sanders, stared wide-eyed in disbelief as Kingston spoke.
After collecting herself, Sanders laid out the facts.
