Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana blasted his own party as “idiots” hours before a federal government shutdown.
“Our country was founded by geniuses, but it’s being run by idiots,” Sen. Kennedy charged on Friday.
On Wednesday, the GOP senator also blasted the federal government disfunction while the Republican Party controls the White House, the Senate and the House.
“We’ve got to stop looking like the Jerry Springer show up here,” Sen. Kennedy said. “That’s why the aliens won’t talk to us. They’re saying, these people, they’re thirteen year olds, OK?”
