Description of problem
I live in an apartment building that provides us with Rogers wireless internet via Comu Networks. The internet they provide us with is a NAT Type 3 (strict), which has been causing my roommate and I problems when we play video games, particularly when we try to play with friends who do not live in this building (playing with each other seems to work fine). It causes problems such as not being able to voice chat in PS4 party chats, not being able to join Call of Duty lobbies with our friends, not being able to start Gundam Versus matches if the opponent's connection is bad, etc. I would like to switch it to Type 2 (moderate) because I believe it may solve some of these issues. I've previously tried going into the router (a TP-Link AC1750 Archer C7) and turning on UPnP and opening ports to my PS4, but I'm not sure if I did it correctly. According to someone from Comu that I spoke to in an email, they use an enterprise class network firewall that does not support UPnP. If that turns out to be true and there's no other way then so be it, but if there's one thing I've learned in my experience with technology, it's that Reddit is often more useful than tech support, so I figured I'd give this a shot.
Cause/Steps to recreate the issue
Attempting to invite friends to Call of Duty parties, attempting to talk to people in party chat on PS4, etc.
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
In the past I've tried suggestions from various sites (don't remember exactly which ones because it was a while ago) involving activating UPnP and opening/forwarding ports, but none of them have worked.
