Hello everyone. I know you may get this problem coming in a lot, but everything I've tried to fix this on my own has failed, so I suppose I'll try asking for support here.
To start off, I have an Acer Aspire E5-575G which runs Windows 10 that I bought just about a year ago, and has served me well until just a couple of weeks ago. First of all, I've never dropped or damaged this laptop before, yet for some reason, the left hinge has become damaged and stuck and refuses to move, so I can't close it. That isn't the main problem though.
Just a couple of weeks ago, my laptop strangely stopped charging, and it took a bit of messing with the charger to get it to work, and in the end, had to pinch the cord together just to get it to the charger. Over time, it stopped charging altogether. Thinking that it must have been the charger at fault, I ordered a new one from amazon. That charger arrived today, and actually worked perfectly for about an hour. However, before long it started to fail as well and now no amount of repositioning it has worked in charging my laptop. So I'm not sure what the problem is here.
I thought about the battery being at fault, but as of yet have not been able to get the battery out due to me not being able to remove any of the small screws to even access the battery. The laptop does not even give me the "Plugged in not charging" prompt. and instead acts like its not even plugged in at all.
Does anyone have any advice on this?
