Description of problem
I purchased the MSI Z77A-DG55 and i5-2500K as a bundle from a user on r/HardwareswapUK and when they arrived, I put together a test setup on top of the motherboard box consisting of the motherboard, CPU, CPU Cooler, RAM, and PSU, which booted to the BIOS screen fine. I noticed that I had placed the RAM in slots 1 and 2 by mistake, so changed them to slots 1 and 3 after which the system wont get to the BIOS at all. The motherboard lights up and CPU coolers spins up but nothing comes out of the VGA port my monitor is connected to.

Cause/Steps to recreate the issue
This issue always occurs.
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
RAM: I have tried all of my RAM sticks to hand (4 x 4GB DDR3 2 x 2GB DDR3) in all of the slots and still get no output. I have tested all of my RAM in another PC I own and that PC boots fine.
CPU: I have re-seated the CPU multiple times and still get no output. I unfortunately do not have access to another 1155 board to test this in separately.
PSU: I have tested the test setup with two different PSUs and still get no output.
Outputs: I have used all the available ports on the motherboard (VGA, DVI, HDMI) and still get no output, and I have added a GPU and still get no output. Motherboard: I have cleared the CMOS and still get no output
