Ahoy all.
Fairly certain i have at least one bad stick of RAM, but let me lay-out all the info:
- PC crashed too often to be regular windows issues (win10x64 1709)
- I have 4x8GB RAM
- Ran memtest
- Found 16 errors in 20 mins
- After 20 mins, screen goes blank
- Repeat test shows similar results
- Removed 1x stick and no errors, but still blank screen within 30 mins
- Re-installed bad stick, no post
So maybe i've been lucky and pulled the bad stick first time?
Questions:
- Is the screen going blank an indication of a graphics card problem or other problem, or just a quirk?
- Should i test 1x stick at a time? / continue testing?
- Should i then put one of those good sticks in the slot the bad stick came from to test for a bad slot?
