Description of problem
So recently I have just purchased Zalman MIC-1 (link) and I tried to plug it into the 4 pin combo jack on the side of the laptop.
A few thing I should have noted: - The laptop only has one 4-pins combo jack instead of two 3-pins combo jacks

Since i use Fiio E-10K USB amp/dac combo with my headphones, the combo jack is free for the microphone

The Zalman Mic-1 has 3-pins 3.5 mm jack
By the time I plugged my Zalman mic in, the laptop just does not recognize the mic on the audio control panel; it just says Mic at front panel (black) is not plugged in. I then checked device manager and I don't see any unidentified devices; I have ensured that I have all device visible (disabled, hidden, etc.), but still can't find the Zalman Mic-1 anywhere.

Cause/Steps to recreate the issue
Simply plugging in the mic; the laptop just simply does not recognize it as any device (not even as unrecognized, disabled, or hidden device)
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue

Checked device managers and audio control panel

Uninstalled and reinstalled Realtek HD sound driver (to R2.82)

Plugged in an earphone with an inline mic and laptop does detect the inline mic (meaning the combo jack is not faulty)

I plugged the Zalman mic-1 to my HTC one m8 and the phone does detect the device (showing as headphone icon on top bar)

Repeated steps above with the Fiio E-10K amp/dac unplugged
