HeyGuys, Sorry for second post but there's a little update on the matter and the problem is a bit different now, so I decided to make a new post.
So my comptuer had a faulty corsair h80i GT cooler which was replaced by the store that built the PC but apparnetly they also reset BIOS and instead of my M2 SSD, windows 10 will boot from my HDD that had a win10 install that was only used for a day a few years ago (really old win 10 version).
So I was looking into how to enable the M2 ssd and it was set to M2 SATA instead of M2 PCIE in my MSI board bios, so I set it to PCIE and now I can see the SSD and all files when my OLD HDD windows 10 boots. So files are still on the SSD, BUT when I boot up and press F11 for boot menu, the SSD now does indeed show up, BUT once I select it, I get black screen and then just goes and tries to boot from another old HDD that has win7 installed that hasn't been used in a few years (I use it as a storage drive and hasn't ever been used on this PC to boot win7 since the PC is only one year old).
Does anyone know all the settings I need to change in BIOS (msi board or any board) so I can boot my already installed win10 from my M2 SSD? I tried enabling WIN 10 WHQL but with that enabled, in boot menu I do NOT see my m2 ssd but instead only see the HDD that has win10 installed. If I boot with WHQL it still gets to my old win10 install and I DO see the M2 ssd with all files on it. So I'm missing out some setting and I cannot boot my already existing install from my M2 ssd. Please help :x
