To preface, I've researched my problem both in the threads and FAQs provided here, and elsewhere online, and all suggested something that I tried repeatedly to no avail.
Recently my mother took her computer to a computer shop and they recommended she reset her computer back to factory settings as a fresh start and backup her pictures and music to a flash drive. She did so and re-transferred those files to the computer. No problem so far.
While she was in the process of re-downloading some of the programs she enjoyed before resetting her PC, it alerted that the C: drive (HDD) was out of storage, which it shouldn't have been -- it was just reset. Not knowing what to do, she called upon her most tech savvy daughter, and even I was at a loss. I realized that it was old program files cluttering up her Windows folder which was clogging up her C:. Of course I'm not sure which files/folders aren't necessary and which are because the Windows folder is filled with things I'll likely never understand.
Windows offered a solution to wipe Temporary Files to clear up space, so I tried it, and the process ran for a second, then stopped. It didn't do anything. I tried it again, and of course to no avail. I have screenshots included so /r/techsupport can see what I'm seeing: screenshots.
Help would be appreciated because as long as Moms ain't happy, I can't be happy. It's that kinda relationship. If possible, I'd like to avoid formatting the computer totally because I'd then have to acquire a new copy of Windows 10 and boot it off of a separate drive, which I'm not sure how to do. It'd be a whole new can of worms.
