I've been experiencing a memory leak with the desktop windows manager, I had another post in here (where i thought I solved it by updating display drivers) but after 2 days the issue has returned. It seems to show up after playing graphic intensive games, it will climb up to about 3.5gb of ram usage and then never release it back to the system when I close applications down. Logging out and back in resets the problem, aswell as a full reboot, I'm really not sure what could be the cause, anyone have any idea? (I was not having this issue until the Microsoft security patch rolled out....)
edit: I've already tried -updating to latest display driver -running an sfc scan / DISM (they come back with no issues)
system specs: ryzen 1700, gtx 1070, 16 ddr4 @ 2933 (its g. skill flare x 3200), OS is on a 500gb SSD, music and stuff is on a 1tb HDD
