Yesterday, my desktop computer was hit by a BSOD when starting up with a 'PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA' error. After a restart, the desktop would not boot, and there was no POST beep and then it'd slump off and then try to start up again. I noticed a DRAM Led and googled which led me to my next portion of trouble shooting the RAM and the slots.
After removing and testing my two slots of ram with two different sticks, it now starts up with one stick of ram in one specific slot. It does not start up with both.
I also found that my CPU fan was somehow not plugged in. Plugging it in also did not get it to spin. After cleaning some dust off, it would spin briefly for a moment before stopping and starting at random spaced out intervals.
I'm not sure if this is a Motherboard, PSU or CPU overheating issue (from what I've googled about DRAM lights and with what I've currently observed). The rig is about 6 years old at this point. the only thing replaced was a internal HDD.
Any advice on any further testing to narrow it down or would I need to do a more drastic overhaul of the parts. Please and thank you!
