To all fellow church sound booth operators, and anyone else who can help,
We've been having lots of trouble keeping our song and sermon presentations working properly. "no signal" messages, hues completely off, resolutions a mess, etc.
Our current setup: 1a) Our worship leader's laptop (Win 7 Dell Inspiron, not sure of model number) to a Kramer VP-725DSA Switcher, via an HDMI-DVI cable.
1b) Our pastor's laptop (Macbook Pro, fairly recent) hooked up the same way.
2) The Kramer output goes to a VGA extender, with a VGA cable going directly to the rear monitor, and a CAT5 cable going to the 2 front TV's.
3) the other end of the Cat5 cable goes to another VGA extender, with a VGA cable going to a VGA to HDMI/DVI adapter.
4) an HDMI cable from the extender is going into an HDMI splitter.
5) an HDMI cable is going to each TV
I didn't set this up, and to me, this seems overly complicated. Is there a way to wirelessly connect the two front TV's AND the rear projector to the laptops? I have an old Chromecast dongle I can try to connect to the HDMI splitter, but I was thinking a Miracast setup might be better.
