I recently moved to China from the US and moved my PC along with me through checking. The moment I got to my apartment and opened my bags, I noticed the my PC got searched by the TSA. The only thing I noticed that was out of place was the top part of the case that can be easily popped out and put back.

When I plugged in my PC, I got normal sounds from the motherboard and it booted up perfectly. However, within a couple of hours I started noticing this burning plastic smell and immediately turned off my PC. I looked around it for a bit, but didn't notice anything out of order and the smell disappeared after the reboot.

Today the smell came back and I ran HWMonitor and my AMD FX-8350 was sitting around 33-40C and everything looked normal. I searched online and suggestions to similar issues said to check my PSU (I have the EVGA supernova 850) and the +3V, +5V, and 12V values. However, HWMonitor doesn't even show a +3V or a +3.3V for me and other values are 5.070V and 12.096V respectively. Is this the issue or was something dislodged from checking or the TSA searching my PC?
