NEIPIIDO (Myanmar) - RIA Novosti. Russia is ready to share with Myanmar the experience of fighting long-range unmanned aerial vehicles that are used for terrorist attacks by militants in Syria, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"A new type of terrorist threat has appeared in Syria - unmanned aerial vehicles, the range of which is more than 100 kilometers, and we are ready to share our experience in combating these threats," Shoygu said on Saturday during a meeting with the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar, Senior General Ming Aung Hlin.
Shoigu drew attention to the fact that terrorist attacks with the help of drones can now be committed not only in Syria.
"These are very serious threats, and we are ready to share the experience that we already have in combating drones, which the terrorists began to use," the defense minister said.
The problem of countering terrorist threats is extremely urgent for Myanmar. In turn, Khlein informed Shoigu that a delegation from Myanmar will participate in the next international security conference, which will be held in Moscow this year, as well as in several competitions of the Army International Games-2018.
