Rini Soemarno Ingin Pesawat N219 Terbang secara Komersil di 2019
TEMPO.CO, Jayapura - Produksi pesawat N219 buatan anak bangsa akan segera selesai. Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Rini Soemarno menargetkan produksi pesawat itu selesai pada akhir kuartal pertama tahun depan.
Dia berharap pesawat produksi PT Dirgantara Indonesia mulai terbang secara komersial di tahun 2019.
Rini memperkirakan akhir tahun ini uji sertifikasi Kementerian Perhubungan selesai.
"(Pesawat) sudah sangat layak,” kata dia saat di Jayapura, Jumat 12 Januari 2018.
Rini telah membicarakan produksi pesawat N219 bersama dengan Kementerian Perhubungan. Menurut dia, pesawat ini dapat disejajarkan dengan pesawat jenis twin otter. Seperti pesawat twin otter, Rini menuturkan N219 dapat terbang di landasan runway pendek dengan kecepatan rendah.
Direktur Niaga PT Dirgantara Indonesia Irzal Rinaldi Zailani mengatakan sebagian pemerintah daerah tertarik dengan pesawat perintis tersebut . Menurut dia, pembicaraan sementara sudah mengerucut pada jumlah kebutuhan minimum pesawat. Di antara pemda yang tertarik adalah Kalimatan Utara, Aceh dan Papua.
"Kebanyakan daerahnya secara infrastruktur itu remote, jalannya kurang begitu bagus," kata dia di Bandung, Selasa 9 Januari 2018 menjelaskan pesawat N219.
