Hi,
I bought parts to build my first gaming pc. Everything was placed where they needed to go. However, when it was time to power on the build, it would not boot up. Here are some things that I noticed: - The moment I tried turning on the pc, there was a brief orange flash on the motherboard. It’ll flash again after a minute once I try to turn the pc on again. - I have an ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3gb dual-fan oc edition installed and there’s a white light that goes on once the psu is switched on. - When I was going to boot up the pc for the first time, I had my thumb drive connected to the USB hub. The light on the usb would turn on without the pc actually booting up. I thought the problem was the psu at time, so I went ahead and changed from the PowerSpec 550W to the Corsair CX650M. However, that wasn’t the case either since the same thing had happened. At this point, I have a feeling it’s the motherboard itself. I’d greatly appreciate if anyone can offer any help or insight as to what to do next. Thanks!

Update: So, I rebuilt the PC outside of it’s case and it worked! Everything was able to turn on when I used a flathead screwdriver on where the power button goes. Now, I put everything back into the case and it doesn’t want to turn on again, even while trying with the flathead screwdriver.
