I have been having this really weird problem with my home built Windows 10 gaming PC for about a year where suddenly and without any warning my screen turns a random solid color with faint vertical lines and my computer becomes completely unresponsive. No key presses change anything on the screen, and pressing the caps lock key does not turn on its light on the keyboard.

This problem has been so hard to troubleshoot because of the lack of any kind of error message, and how it is a completely different color each time it strikes. The pictures provided are a mild blue, but I have seen it be bright red with thin black vertical lines, orange, brown, green, practically any color of the rainbow.
It also does not seem to correspond with anything I do on the computer, or show any kind of predictability. Sometimes it happens when I have several programs and games open at once, other times with only a browser open. In several instances, it occurred minutes after restarting the computer. I made this post now after a very long time of this happening because it seems to be happening with more frequency, at several times a day. I have gone from months without it happening, to it happening twice in a day, to a several week long stretch of it not happening. You get the point.
The only fix I have found for this problem is simply restarting my computer by pressing the reset button on the front of the case. I just did a refresh of windows (reset but kept my files) and the problem persists. A while ago I also tried MemTest86 and I do not recall any errors.
