Hi all,
I bought a new computer in February (spec below) and had a hard drive failure a couple of months after the sale. I bought it through cyber power and they realised the issue and sent a new replacement out to me. Over the past month the computer has been working slower and slower, a couple of weeks ago now it crashed whilst playing the new star wars battlefront (was giving it a go through the ea 10 hour trial). Ever since I have not been able to boot past the blue windows logo. The brief 5 minutes I had in the game were very stuttery, but not low fps, more like the game was bottlenecking the system and would allow to continue for 30 secs before grinding to a halt again.
I've been back in contact with cyber power, have attempted reinstall of windows, took around 24 hours to go through the basic procedure before I got to the blue screen to connect to the Internet. The text entry was extremely slow and unresponsive and when I did manage to enter the password to my router, it just went to the windows logo and hung there. I tried wiring the PC to the Internet same result. I was advised by cyber power to try memtest but it detected no faults. I did note it said only one of 4 cpus were active, unsure if that's the issue? I've emailed them back and am awaiting response.
I come to you guys if anyone can offer any potential insight, this is the second time in what 10 months that I've had a serious fault with this computer and am unsure as to the cause. I have barely used the computer beyond playing a few games and even then it's been minimal usage. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of the issue? Excuse the length of this post!
