There's several parts here, I was wondering if I could get some expert opinions on what/why/how this happened over years or during some specific use.
Apparently the user hasn't installed anything to that PCIe slot, there's also other similar pieces in the full album across the board. Also hasn't installed anything to those header pins near it.
The suspicion is it's simply a fried trace, but I'm wondering why it's so reflective and looks like it has a layer to it. Aren't traces usually much thinner? Why is this so reflective and copper/bronze? How exactly could this have happened to a never-used PCIe slot?
