Hi guys,

So i have this laptop laying around (got it already not working from someone at a repair café), and it really has a weird behavior.

Basically, when you try to boot it up there is nothing on the screen. Like, not even the POST or a blinking dash : nothing.

I've oppened it up and tried to look if the battery was dead. After charging for a while, the battery seemed to work as i could make it start without the power brick in. By make it start, i mean getting both the power light on and the keyboard backlight; that's so far the only things that light up.

The main issue is that when i power it up, the single fan is not spinning at all. I know this is an ultra slim laptop so maybe there is a system to cool it down without the fan, but i at least expect it to turn for a couple seconds at POST, right ? What's funny is that when i let it run for a while to charge up the battery the fan started spinning at some point. Could not replicate that tho.

I've tried plugging another screen on the HDMI output but no luck either. I first suspected a broken connection between the Igpu and screen but since there is no image on HDMI either is the Igpu just dead ? I'm used to deal with full size towers, not really with ulra small laptops.

Any help is welcome.
