Hardware/OS
- SSD: Samsung 840 250 GB SSD from 2015
- MoBo: ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 or something from like 2011
- OS: Windows 7 of some sort
Fixes Attempted w/o sucecss
- BIOS Settings: AHCI instead of IDE, safe boot, others i would need to restart to check
- Different SADA Cables
- Unplugging PC
- Rebooting and going through BIOS many times

So, for the past few weeks my pc has been randomly crashing while I would be away. It usually would reboot fine but every now and again it would fail to boot and i would have to go into my bios and select my ssd to boot. Now it is not starting at all and i had to fall back on the old windows partition on my HDD. This is a Samsung 840 250gb SSD that I began using sometime in 2015 so it is 2-3 years old. It has been working with no problems until maybe one or two months ago.
The ssd is still showing up in my bios and i have tried several times to boot using it without any success. I have tried various settings in my bios (running in AHCI instead of IDE), turning off safe boot, and several other bios settings. I have tried switching sada cables, sada inputs on my motherboard. I have unplugged the PC from power. The most luck I have had since it went completely dead was when I switch to AHCI it goes to the windows loading screen for two seconds or so before getting a blue screen with tons of error messages and then less than 1 sec later going dead. I haven't been able to read them fast enough.
