I have a PC which I use to hold media and stream it to my other electronic devices via the windows homegroup server or to my chrome cast with an app called Videostream.
Everything is working great, however I’m concerned about power use since my parts aren’t the most energy efficient and my PC is in a permanent overclocked state and this isn’t friendly to my electricity bill.
I’m wondering if there is anyway to make my PC ‘sleep’ but still have the homegroup and videostream application functioning via Wi-Fi. I haven’t found anything on google so far, however would this be possible? I essentially want the CPU to function at an extremely low frequency and voltage, however still have my drives, windows and wireless adapter functioning.
