I have a stock best buy gameing PC from 2015 in my possession
It's an ibuypower case with An Intel I7 6700k 8gb ram MSI GTX 970 Gigabyte Mobo ( I don't know the model) 1tb HDD 800 watt PSU Windows 10 64bit Pro
Computer was running fine until I updated windows 10 to the " creators update" I was playing Forza 7 with my roommates brother and my new raceing wheel and the PC hard crashed and hasn't booted since.
When it tries to boot it never gets past the gigabyte screen. Windows never starts.
I thought it was the HDD being corrupted so
I tried booting in recovery and try a windows system restore that failed 3 times.
I tried booting from a CD copy of windows 10 pro. (the original recovery disk).
I also tried booting the disk to my back up drives but I can't get any of them to boot.
The CD and all the backup drives go to a blue screen after I see the windows 10 logo
The original HDD never gets past the mother board boot.
I tried different SATA cables and checked for physical damage on all the connectors.
There was no evidence of a power surge or anything the night it crashed but I suppose it's not out of the question.
I've already decided to take it to a repair shop next Saturday but I wanted to see if the fine people of this sub Reddit had any last minute suggestions. Everything I find online require the computer to actually boot. Which I can't get it to do.
