Paolo VI sarà presto santo. La Santa Sede ha infatti riconosciuto un miracolo attribuito al pontefice, quello relativo alla nascita di Amanda, una bambina venuta al mondo dopo aver resistito per alcuni mesi alla rottura della placenta.
Il miracolo in questione – ovviamente- servirà ai fini della canonizzazione. La madre della piccola, originaria di Verona, si era recata in preghiera al Santuario delle Grazie di Brescia: un luogo di cui Giovanni Battista Montini, cioè Papa Paolo VI, era devoto.
L’ufficializzazione della notizia è arrivata dalla diocesi di Brescia. Adesso, una volta superato il “vaglio” delle consulte medica e teologica, Papa Francesco avrà il compito di decidere la data della canonizzazione. Visto il calendario del pontefice, la data possibile sembra essere quella della prima domenica di Ottobre prossimo. Il miracolo di Montini – quindi – è avvenuto per “intercessione”. Montini – del resto – è morto nel 1978 a Castelgandolfo, mentre il miracolo che la Chiesa gli ha ufficialmente attribuito risale al 2001.
La storia è la seguente: una donna, giunta al quinto mese di gravidanza, subisce la rottura della vesciva fetale, un fatto che avrebbe potuto compromettere la vite della mamma e della bambina. La madre di Amanda- però – prega accanto ad una suora nel santuario citato. Amanda – insomma – sarebbe nata e poi cresciuta in modo sano proprio grazie all’intercessione di Paolo VI. Montini era stato beatificato il 19 ottobre 2014 da papa Francesco al termine del Sinodo straordinario dei vescovi sulla Famiglia. Dopo Giovanni Paolo II – insomma – un altro pontefice destinato a divenire santo.
