The tax bill is the most unpopular piece of legislation in the last 30 years. After years of railing against raising the deficit under President Barack Obama, Republicans will add roughly $1 trillion to the national deficit with this legislation, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blasted the tax bill as “simply theft — monumental, brazen theft from the American middle class and from every person who aspires to reach it.”
If the bill passes the House again later Wednesday morning, following a parliamentary stumble yesterday, President Trump is expected to sign the bill into law in the afternoon.
