I am in halls, using the WiFi they provide. They do not provide ethernet. I need more than 5 devices connected at once, and I have some Google Homes and Chromecasts which currently don't work due to "AP Isolation" turned on in the router (which I don't have access to).
I've made a wifi hotspot on my PC which repeats their network into a separate one just for me, which works quite well but isn't the most reliable, and cuts out a lot.
If I buy a plug in Wifi Repeater, will I be able to: password protect the personal network, attach more than 5 devices (since only one device is connected to their router), and control Chromecasts? Cheers in advance.
I'd also like to know any recommendations for WiFi Repeaters, since they can be pretty shitty apparently.
