I cannot figure this out and it is frusting me.
I bought this dock http://ift.tt/2CaGIkf and it has DisplayLink so it is just supposed to plug and display, and its not working.
Everything else on the dock works, the monitor works, just can't get the signal on the monitor.
Maybe I'm not extending the display correctly? my only options are to display on laptop, or through VGA; but I am using hdmi through the dock, so could that be the problem?
My laptop doesn't have an hdmi port, just VGA, but I'm not sure if that matters if it is connected to the dock. I don't have a VGA cord lying around to test it. I don't know if I need to use any specific settings in the display settings to make this work or not
