Description of problem
So for the past couple of months, my internet will drop 1-2 times a day randomly but it will still be "connected". No yellow icon on my connection status and the router will be greenlit as connected but all of my wireless devices and ethernet connected PC will not be able to load anything. I have replaced my router to a NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 and bought a new modem as well but this problem still persists. I am still able to check my router settings with the IP address and everything shows connected which is strange. I have to reboot my router for everything to work again but I know in a few hours this problem will happen again.
Cause/Steps to recreate the issue

What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
Replaced Router and modem. Contacted Cox support to manually "hard" reboot my modem but the internet dropped again later that day. Rebooting router or modem all together will temporarily fix the issue but either later that day or the next day the internet will drop again.
