So long story short, I recently purchased a 32gb flash drive off of Amazon yesterday and I attempted to transfer 1.2gb worth of picture onto it. It mounted no problem so I let it do it's thing but when I came back, I received tons of errors and then flashdrive unmounted itself (I'm not sure why). Now here I am, having trouble mounting it back onto my Mac or PC
Things I've done:
- I've tried different USB ports and different laptops
- I'm checking the activity monitor on my Mac and I see "fsck_msdos" running for about 5 minutes and then it dissappears
- On my PC, it says that it has 0 bytes of storage and 0 bytes of free space
- The flash drive is blinking when plugged in meaning it's receiving enough power
- I'm not able to reformat the flash drive on my PC because it's not letting me
- The flash drive is not showing up on Disk Utility or Finder, but it does show up in System profiler for about 5 minutes (same time as fsck_msdos running) then dissappears
Is my flash drive done or is there something that I need to do revive my flash drive? I have nothing important in it right now so I'm willing to reformat it if I need to.
