Okay so basically this morning I turned my computer on and loaded internet, Steam was updating in background... Then computer shows the sad face crash screen saying it needs to collect data then restart... I let it do its thing, then it stops on 45% for a while. No worries until my fan goes in to overdrive. It's always pretty quiet but suddenly it was whirring like nobody's business. Fearing for the computer, I used the switch at the back of the computer to force it to turn off. Let it cool, turn it back on... Monitor isn't showing anything up. Weird. Try to force it off with the switch at the back, it doesn't work. The switch will move to the off position but it doesn't 'lock in to place' as it were, and a slight tap on the switch will send it back to the on position - all the while my computer stays on. Eventually it turns itself off. I turn it back on, same issue of it'll stay on for 15-20 seconds then turn itself off. It won't cycle like everybody else seems to experience, once its off it stays off. Don't really know the specs of my computer, is there any general problem it could be?

Edit: Eventually managed to get the switch to click off then on again, didn't change anything however
