Alright so background info first I guess.
Windows 10, file/folders are on a data drive, not the system drive. It may have been a system drive at one point that I simply deleted everything off of instead of formatting although I highly doubt this. It's very hard to remember though.
The folder looks like any hidden Recycling Bin folder. When I open it there is another Recycling Bin icon/folder that leads to no files.
Now the reason this folder is driving me crazy is that according to WinDirStat, it's taking up 40+gigs of space. Example of what is in these folders according to WinDirStat.
The reason they're probably randomly named gibberish is because I tried using Eraser to both nuke the free space on the drive and delete the files. When I try to use Eraser to get rid of the files it get this error.
When I try deleting via Windows it just asks for admin permission, I give it, and then nothing happens. In Windows it also shows it taking up space and containing actual files (that I can't see via Explorer).
I would be so damn grateful of anyone that can help me clean up this mess it drives me crazy for some reason. I know I can always move all 1.7 TB of Movies/TVshows/Music/Porn off and reformat but that would take so long so figuring out how to do this without going nuclear would be awesome.
