I want to completely disable my wireless adapter. I do not use it, as I always have my PC directly connected to my internet connection. My wireless adapter is doing something weird, but Windows says its not broken, and in fact is performing properly. However it connects and reconnects every two seconds and makes a ding sound effect to go along with it. I can disable the device, but that doesn't stop it, and I can uninstall the device, but that only stops it until the next time I restart my computer.
I have tried searching everything I can think of, but I don't know how to fix it, and cannot find instructions on how to completely disable it with no opportunity for it to reinstall/reenable itself. I have tried updating/replacing the driver, and even since this issue started, I have completely reset my entire PC back to factory settings.
