| The NTSB investigate Monday's train derailment. |
The National Transportation and Safety Board will investigate the fatal accident involving an Amtrak train that derailed in Washington state.
The incident happened on Monday and it now appears that three people died in this fatal crash. The state and federal investigators will interview the train operators and determine if criminal charges will be filed against them.
The Amtrak Cascades 501 train was introduced on Monday. The train was going way over the posted speed limit. It hit a curve and derailed over Interstate 5 near Lakewood, Washington.
The highway was shutdown between Seattle and Olympia. It reopened today.
The death of one of the victims was picked up by The Daily Mail.
An enrollee of Offender U was one of the victims killed in this train derailment. Benjamin Gran was served for distributing and receiving kiddie porn. He was a computer technician at Green River Community College.
