Una esplosione in un impianto di gas a Baumgarten an der March, in Austria, ha provocato almeno dieci feriti e un morto. L’esplosione ha causato l’interruzione del flusso di gas dalla Russia all’Italia e anche se le scorte sono ancora sufficienti, il perzzo del gas è destinato a salire, come ha dichiarato Claudio Descalzi, amministratore delegato dell’Eni.
“Oggi – ha detto il ministro dello Sviluppo economico, Carlo Calenda –
c’è stato un incidente serio in Austria. Questo vuol dire che abbiamo un problema serio di forniture, con una grande concentrazione dalla Russia. Il Tap serve a questo, se avessimo il Tap non dovremmo dichiarare, come faremo oggi, lo stato di emergenza”.
A causa dell’incidente, martedì mattina è stato interrotto in Austria il flusso del gas dalla Russia. Di conseguenza è stata sospesa l’operatività del gasdotto che collega attraverso l’Austria il nodo di Baumgarten fino all’ingresso di Tarvisio della rete italiana. Lo spiega il Mise in una nota. La fornitura di gas ai consumatori italiani è comunque assicurata in quanto la mancata importazione viene coperta da una maggiore erogazione di gas dagli stoccaggi nazionali di gas in sotterraneo.
Nella notte, comunque, la rotta del gas verrà riaperta, ha assicurato il ministro Calenda. “In base alle informazioni disponibili, le tre linee del Trans Austria Gasleitung, il gasdotto che porta il gas russo in Italia, non sono state impattate e ci aspettiamo il riavvio dei flussi per la mezzanotte di oggi” gli ha fatto eco il ceo di Snam, Marco Alverà. “Il sistema gas italiano – ha aggiunto – è tra i più sicuri al mondo grazie alla diversificazione delle fonti di approvvigionamento, all’ampia disponibilità di stoccaggio e ai piani di emergenza elaborati dal Mise, apprezzati in Europa”.

Il Corriere della Sera, come precisato dalla Snam che ha fatto sapere che la mancata importazione sarà compensata da una maggiore erogazione di gas dagli stoccaggi nazionali. Intanto Descalzi di Eni ha annunciato che il prezzo per il gas è destinato a salire:
“Se finisse domani non è un problema ma anche se dovesse durare qualche settimana è una cosa che possiamo compensare: non c’è allarmismo tra gli operatori. Quanto successo si inserisce in uno scenario che porta ad un aumento generalizzato dei prezzi. Dipende da quanto durerà il problema”.
