My phone turns on normal nothing seemingly wrong. I plug it in to charge and when I take it off the charger it still thinks its charging which is causing a higher power state which is really eating up my battery life. I have tried to replicate this with by plugging in a charger not connected to any power and the physical action is not triggering anything, but the second I connect the cable to a computer and unplug it the phone has already entered the perpetual charging state.
