Un intero villaggio battuto all’asta e venduto a un anonimo offerente diventato, non certo a fatica, proprietario esclusivo di Alwine, un borgo tedesco in decadenza ad appena 120 km da Berlino, condannato a sgretolarsi per incuria e a un destino di solitudine patito dal paesino del Brandeburgo da quando un esodo quasi biblico l’ha spopolato relegandolo a uno stato di silenzio e abbandono.

Un tempo una sorta di colonia popolata dalle famiglie degli operai della vicina fabbrica di blocchi di carbone che ne alimentava l’economia e che, fino alla riunificazione della Germania nel 1990, era proprietaria del villaggio stesso, il villaggio di Alwine si è via via spopolato e spento fino a diventare un borgo fantasma non particolarmente appetibile per imprenditori e vacanzieri.
Almeno fino a quando un’asta interamente dedicata all’acquisto del posto non ha riacceso i riflettori sui suoi confini e sulle sue potenzialità d’investimento. Certo, come riporta l’edizione online del Messaggero in queste ore, già nel 2000, dopo 9 anni di cessazione delle attività della fabbrica locale e il conseguente spopolamento del presidio industriale – nel 1991 l’impianto cessò l’attività – “il borgo fu venduto a investitori privati per la cifra simbolica di un marco”. Un acquisto più virtuale che risolutivo che, non a caso, non bastò assolutamente a frenare la deriva di Alwine, ridotto negli ultimi anni a case fatiscenti abitate solo da una ventina di persone, quasi tutte pensionate, e tutte intente per lo più a denunciare lo stato di abbandono del posto da parte delle autorità.
Comprato da un anonimo per 140.000 euro
Dunque, l’unica speranza di salvare Alwine da un destino “fantasmatico” divenuto quasi una realtà, derivava da un’asta: organizzata con ottimismo e conclusasi con l’acquisto per appena 140.000 euro dell’intero borgo. Euro sborsati da un acquirente anonimo che il sindaco del distretto di cui Alwine fa parte ha già fatto sapere di voler incontrare: la storica stretta di mano, infatti, e il benvenuto di rito, segneranno gli eventi nel calendario in disuso del posto e un nuovo inizio per il villaggio e per i suoi coraggiosi e solitari abitanti.
