Hello guys!

Following problem:

I've bought a Dual band 2.4/5Ghz Wlan stick from CSL with the chipset "Realtek 8812AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC" (device manager name).

CSL - USB 3.0 AC1200 WLAN Stick | WiFi Dual Band 2,4 GHz / 5 GHz | USB 3.0 Super Speed | 2T2R MiMo | Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) | Wi-Fi Direct | SoftAP | schwarz - Amazon.de

I already owned a different 5 ghz wlan stick from them and it worked awesome and never failed to connect but I gave it to someone who really needed it. this here costed a few euros less so I decided to order this. however...

I plugged it into my pc, windows (10 pro) automatically found and installed the driver and i could choose a network. I have a dual-band huawei router, so i have two SSIDs. one is 5g and has "-5Ghz" at the end of its name, but it didn't show up in Windows. 2.4 ghz works without any problems.

First thing i tried was installing the driver from the cd, but windows did already install the newest driver. there was no extra software on the disc.

Then i tried to check the settings in the device manager but i already switched every single setting in there and nothing changed. The only 2.4/5ghz-related setting was "Preferred frequency band" and i set it to "5G". (http://ift.tt/2kYFiok)

I searched on the internet for different drivers for this device and found 2 different versions but they gave me the same result.

Now at this point i start thinking that this internet stick maybe doesn't even support 5ghz.

already rebooted the router many times and turned the 5g wlan on and off, but the 5g wlan works on every other device,so.... in my router/wlan settings i also already changed everything (don't get me wrong. already changed everything back to normal.)

router's 5g network settings:

security mode: wpa-psk/wpa2-psk , wpa-encoding mode: tkip+aes , transmission mode: 802.11 a/n/AC , channel:Automatic , activate WMM (QoS): yes , 11n/ac MCS: automatic , 11n/ac bandwith: 80 Mhz , 11n/ac protection interval: long

When i type in into a command prompt "netsh wlan show drivers" i get this. (tried to translate it as good as possible)

already tried a USB 2.0, 3.0 and a 3.1 port. currently it's connected directly to the pc with a USB 3.0 port.

I hope i said anything i know and didn't forget something important. Has anyone a idea what else i could try or does this stick simply not support 5g?

Thank you for reading this and trying to help! :)
